From factory flats to the first kindergarten: industry shaped everyday life

Industry not only changed the economy, but also the social life of the community, which had been dominated by agriculture for many centuries. Factory housing, workers' housing estates and company social facilities can be traced back to the industry, the first fire brigade was founded, the Red Cross was supported and kindergartens were set up.

Our exhibition sheds light on the life and living conditions of workers, the challenges they faced and the development of social structures in the community.
